Privacy Policy

This policy explains what CC Buddy, a sole proprietorship operated by [LEGAL NAME] in Illinois, collects through ccbdee.ai and the CC Buddy apps, why, and what you can do about it. We don't sell your personal information.

Photos and biometric information
Photo measure is an invite-only test. Photos are used only to estimate room dimensions. We don't use them to identify people and we don't collect biometric identifiers such as face geometry, as defined by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Please photograph empty walls, not people.
AI features
AI features (estimates help, photo measure, and the assistant) are an invite-only test. Text and photos a tester submits are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the answer. We don't keep that text or those photos after the answer is returned. Usage is rate-limited and capped. Don't upload sensitive personal information. AI output can be wrong. Check it before you use it on a bid. See the Terms of Service.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who work for us under contract: hosting, Anthropic (the text and photos an invited tester submits, so Anthropic's API can generate the answer), our payment provider [Stripe], and email delivery. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- A business transfer, if CC Buddy is sold or merged; this policy would still apply to your data.
Browser storage
The app saves your language, trade tab, prices and rates in your browser so it works offline. We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and, [if added], privacy-friendly analytics.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is open and delete it within 90 days after you close it, except records we must keep for taxes or legal reasons.
Your choices
- See, correct, export or delete your data by emailing support@ccbdee.ai. We answer within 30 days.
- Unsubscribe from CC Buddy emails at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by replying "unsubscribe." We stop within 10 business days, and usually right away.
- Delete saved prices and rates from your browser by clearing site data.
Security
We use encryption in transit, limited access to data and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at support@ccbdee.ai if you find a problem.
Children
CC Buddy is for working adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a significant way, we'll email you or show a notice in the app before the change takes effect.
