Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and CC Buddy, a sole proprietorship operated by [LEGAL NAME] in Illinois ("CC Buddy," "we," "us"), for use of the CC Buddy website at ccbdee.ai and its apps (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use it for a company, you agree for that company too.
1. What CC Buddy is
CC Buddy is a set of tools for drywall, taping and painting contractors: room takeoff calculators, labor and material pricing, and daily safety talks. AI features (estimates help, photo measure, and the assistant) are an invite-only test. See section 8. The Service is offered in English, Spanish and Polish. If a translation differs from the English text, the English text controls.
2. Estimates are not guarantees
- Every number the Service produces, including quantities, prices, labor hours and bid totals, is an estimate based on rules of thumb and on the figures you enter.
- AI output can be wrong. Measurements taken from photos are approximate. Always confirm measurements on site with a tape measure and check quantities and prices against your plans, specifications and suppliers before you order material or submit a bid.
- You alone decide what to bid, order and build. We are not responsible for a lost job, a low bid, excess or missing material, or any other result of relying on an estimate.
- The Service does not check building codes, fire ratings, permits or manufacturer requirements. Follow your plans, local code and your inspector.
3. Safety content
Toolbox Talks and other safety content are general information. They do not replace OSHA-required training, your employer's safety program, your site safety plan, your competent person, or product instructions and safety data sheets. Rules referenced may change; check the current regulation.
4. Accounts
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Keep your login private and tell us at support@ccbdee.ai if you think someone else is using it. You are responsible for activity on your account.
5. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account; the plan stays active until the end of the paid month. We don't give refunds for partial months unless the law requires it.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, [Stripe]. We do not store full card numbers.
- We may change prices for new or renewing subscriptions with at least 30 days' notice by email.
6. Your content and ideas
You own the information you enter, such as room sizes, prices, rates, photos and reports. You let us store and process it to run the Service for you. Text and photos you submit to an AI feature are not kept after the answer is returned. See section 8. If you send us ideas or feedback, for example through the idea box, we may use them to improve the Service without owing you anything.
7. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no breaking the law, uploading photos of people without their consent, interfering with the Service, scraping it, reselling it, or trying to get around plan limits.
8. AI features
AI features (estimates help, photo measure, and the assistant) are an invite-only test. Text and photos a tester submits are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the answer. We don't keep that text or those photos after the answer is returned. Usage is rate-limited and capped. Don't upload sensitive personal information. AI output can be wrong, and you should check it before you use it on a bid. See the Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, CC Buddy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, jobs or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
11. Indemnity
You agree to cover claims brought against us by others that arise from your bids, your work, your content or your breach of these terms.
12. Ending use
You can stop using the Service anytime. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. Sections 2, 3, 6 and 9 to 13 continue after an account ends.
13. Law and disputes
Illinois law governs these terms. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, unless [arbitration terms are added after attorney review].
14. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll email you or show a notice in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect.
